Very thin fabric may be fine for summer but often looks cheap and becomes see through. Metal can feel more premium, but acetate can be more comfortable for long wear. I try to look for real photos of the insoles and soles, not only the outside of the shoe. Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. I like when they mention whether the fabric has stretch or not, that detail matters a lot. It is interesting to see how different people value different aspects of a product. If anyone is interested in real user experiences, I sometimes write short notes about the shops I test. You can find one of the pages here: see more details It is interesting to see how different people value different aspects of a product. I think it is better to build a small collection of reliable products than to buy random cheap things. When it comes to eyewear, the small details really matter over time. Taking a few minutes to research before buying can save a lot of money and frustration. I think sharing honest feedback helps other buyers avoid the same mistakes. It saves a lot of trial and error for everyone else. Hope this helps someone.
